The Global Climate Action (GCA) activities ““ which they host this year boost cooperative action between governments, cities, regions, business, investors and citizens to cut emissions rapidly and help vulnerable nations adapt to climate impacts and build their own clean energy, sustainable futures.
Â
A year after COP 21, all actors in the fight to address climate change will have the opportunity to showcase their results and concrete achievements. Under the champions´ leadership, these GCA activities will provide a space to identify clear policy options during sectoral dialogues between governments and non-governmental actors. As early action is accelerating, joint implementation will facilitate the achievement of both collective goals and national targets.-----------------------------------------
