Crif learned with sadness on last wednesay the death of Shimon Peres, former President and Prime Minister of the State of Israel, who died at 93. Francis Kalifat, president of Crif stated " Shimon Peres was the last of the founding fathers of the State of Israel.

Francis Kalifat, president of Crif stated " Shimon Peres was the last of the founding fathers of the State of Israel. Brave, honorable, visionary and humanist, he represented an essential part of the country history. He has dedicated his existence to the protection, development and modernization of Israel.---------------------------------------------------------------
( He was an) Indefatigable builder, and he had been a man of peace and dialogue working beside Yitzhak Rabin in the Israeli-Palestinian discussion for Oslo Accords; He continued to embody afterward the peace dreams of generations of Israelis. Shimon Peres never compromised on the safety of Israel and of the Jewish people, committed Zionist, marked by the anti-Semitism lived in his youth in Poland,  Shimon Peres was Nobel Peace Prize and Prime Minister then President of the State of Israel.
